Hertfordshire Eco House
The client desired a space that met the same criteria as their newly constructed Eco House; a sustainable space, built using materials and technology that reduces its carbon footprint and is designed to encourage wildlife.
The hard lines of the house and existing natural pond/pool played a key part in the designing of this space. Lawn paths, compacted gravel and re-purposed sandstone terraces encourage movement throughout the space, connecting the garden to the surrounding environment and green belt.
Limestone filled gabions, multi-stem crab apple trees, ornamental grasses and long flowering perennials make the garden a haven for birds and wildlife, as well as a multisensory place to relax, entertain and enjoy the beauty of nature.
